Shum Computing is designed to be simple and lightweight. We do not collect or store personal data from visitors.

No accounts & no stored user data

There are no Shum Computing user accounts or profiles on this site. Some activity may use 3rd party login services to allow specific features to function, in these cases, no account information is stored by Shum Computing.

We do not store personal information, classroom data, or student work. Any activity runs in your browser and data is not sent to our servers.

Google login for saving

Some resources may offer a Google login so you can save work directly to your own Google Drive. Shum Computing does not process or store this data. It is handled client side in your browser and saved to your Google Drive. An example is, Google login for the Shum Computing Python IDE. This is needed for saving Python Files created by students to their Google Drive, this is done on the client side and no account information is stored by Shum Computing.
